CDL Class A Truck Driver
JME is a commercial and residential construction contractor that performs sitework, utility, demolition, land stabilization, retaining wall and trucking services. Our shop and office are located in Plum Borough, but work is performed throughout Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas.

JME offers competitive wages, a good benefits package, and a family-like atmosphere. Wages start at $25.00/HR and increase depending on skills and experience. Healthcare benefits include medical, vision, and dental plans. Retirement benefits include a 401(k) plan with a company match. Bonuses are at the discretion of management and are awarded based on individual and company performance. Time off consists of poor working conditions, sick days, vacation days and holidays.
Primary Responsibilities:·
Class A Truck Driver
Operate tractor trailer trucks with lowboy or deck trailers attached
Operate tri-axle dump truck with tag trailer attached
Haul heavy machinery and materials to and from jobsites. Unload/load heavy machinery and materials from trailers when needed
Assist in loading/unloading heavy machinery from trailers
Assist in loading/unloading materials on and off trailers
Perform routine inspections on trucks and trailers and perform preventative maintenance. Refer defects or repairs needed to their appropriate supervisor
Routine inspections include but are not limited to pre-trip and post-trip inspections. This can include checking tires, fluid levels, brakes, horn, and lights on the vehicle, among other things.
Class B Truck Driver
Operate tri-axle dump truck to transport various construction materials which can consist of dirt, asphalt, concrete, aggregate, etc.
Deliver construction materials to and from jobsites for our company and other contractors
Perform routine inspections on trucks and trailers and perform preventative maintenance. Refer defects or repairs needed to their appropriate supervisor
Routine inspections include but are not limited to pre-trip and post-trip inspections. This can include checking tires, fluid levels, brakes, horn, and lights on the vehicle, among other things.
Performs other tasks required by management
Requirements:
Meet ALL company values
Safety oriented
Clear and concise communication skills
3+ years of experience in driving commercial vehicles, preferred
Must have an up-to-date DOT Medical Examiner’s certificate
Valid CDL Class A driver’s license (no endorsements needed) & can reliably operate a company vehicle.
Able to efficiently operate a manual transmission in a commercial truck
Has their own reliable mode of transportation
Able to follow directions for different construction and trucking tasks
Basic technology skills for use of different company software and hardware
Must be willing to work overtime, nights, and weekends when needed by management
Mobility – Able to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Also required to physically move light and heavy objects
Appropriate work clothing which includes safety boots, long pants, and other required clothing specific to each jobsite
